Neutral Ground came back to Katonah for year four.
The event offered a road route and a gravel route through northern Westchester. The gravel option mixed dirt, rougher gravel, and paved connectors. The road course stayed on the area's rolling roads.
The route and demonstration information reached my inbox at the end of May. It included the schedule and the post-ride expo. That email placed the event in the current archive without establishing which course I rode or whether I completed one.
ACME Bicycle Co. hosted the day from its Katonah location. The public listing set the start in the morning and kept the event running into the afternoon.
The ride was only one part. Afterward, the Neutral Ground Expo brought cycling brands and local partners together for product demonstrations, equipment, food, music, and prizes.
Both routes included selected Strava segments for riders who wanted a timed effort. Other participants could treat the same roads as an organized recreational ride.
The public event information described neutral support on the courses. Riders still needed to arrive with a working bicycle, the equipment appropriate for their selected terrain, and enough familiarity to manage the route.
