The scanned NDA went back by email before the paper copy could make it to Boulder.
I signed it, scanned it, and sent it over today. If the scan is enough, I want the accounts set up before the weekend so I can get started. If they need the original first, I can drive it up tomorrow rather than wait for the mail.
This is the first concrete result from the extra-work search. I spent September answering Linux and Unix posts and explaining the same arrangement: I have a director job at Beatport, I am not leaving it, and I can take on remote systems work outside the normal day.
The logistics are email, cell phone, AIM, a scanned signature now, and the paper copy later. I wrote that the phone is bolted to me at all times. That may be too literal, but it is an accurate description of how I expect to be reached.
The NDA is permission to exchange enough information and access to begin. I do not have the accounts yet, and I have not touched the systems. That is why I am pushing on the timing now. If the scan is acceptable, there are two weekend days available to start learning the environment.
I sent the signed copy, supplied the contact information they asked for, and offered to hand-deliver the original. Now I need the account details and the first list of work.
The paper copy is still with me. The signed scan is already in their inbox.
